Lonone Purification
The purification process for Ionone is completed by a three-stage molecular distillation process, which results in a higher purity of the essential oil and retains the value of the plant to a large extent.
The process for purifying Ionone product through molecular distillation involves the following steps in the given order:
1. Initial pre-treatment of the raw material.
2. Synthesis of violet ketone product.
3. Primary thin film evaporation to remove light components.
4. Removal of remaining light components using secondary molecular distillation.
5. Separation and purification of resulting fractions obtained in the previous step.
6. Further separation and purification of fractions through tertiary molecular distillation.
7. Collection of the final purified violet ketone product.
